The Beauty of Bunaken Island
Bunaken is an area of 8.08 km² island in the Bay of Manado, which is located in the north of the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. The island is a part of the city of Manado, the provincial capital of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Bunaken Island can be reached by fast boat (speed boat) or a rented boat to travel about 30 minutes from the port city of Manado. Around the island of Bunaken Bunaken marine park there which is part of the Bunaken National Park. This marine park has a marine biodiversity one of the highest in the world. Scuba diving attracts many visitors to the island. Overall Bunaken marine park covers an area of 75,265 hectares with five islands within it, namely the island of Manado Tua (Manarauw), Bunaken, Siladen, following several children Mantehage Island island, and the island Naen. Although it covers an area of 75,265 hectares, the location of the dive (diving) is limited in each of the five beaches that surround the island.
Bunaken marine park has a 20 point dive (dive spot) with varying depths of up to 1344 meters. Of the 20 point dive, the 12 point dive in which are located around the island of Bunaken. Transportation

Bunaken Island is very easy to accomplish from Manado boat. Departing from pelabuahn Manado, Molas, Kalasey, and Tasik Ria Beach. The ferry from Manado to Bunaken leave around 14:00 (depending on the tide).

You should be aware that during the season between July and August visitors will usually very crowded. Many resorts and dive operators will not be able to receive incoming tourists at that time because it was already fully booked. Therefore, it is better to book in advance.
For a rental boat from Manado to Bunaken you can choose Bersehati Market and Marina. Rent a boat from Manado to Bunaken Bersehati market with rates ranging from Rp 300 thousand - Rp 400 thousand. Meanwhile, if the applicable rate of Marina more expensive at around Rp 600 thousand - Rp 800 thousand. More economical way is to join other tourists aboard the traditional fare of Rp 50 thousand per person. Just have to wait for a seat on the boat full of new first departed.
